 Post subject: help on how to do diagnostic please

hi i need help on my GTI how to do a diagnostic its been sitting a side for 7 months now due to a blown computer

could u help me on where to put the fuse and please post a pic if possible and a detaled place where to put the fuse

Hi mate... hope this helps ...

This is the fuse box...

As u can see on the cover it has "DIAG SW" thats the terminal u need to bridge with any fuse.. (Even a peice of wire would do)

i think i will get an AFM error but the car doesnt start thanks

in regards to the error codes...... how could someone read these? does the CHECK ENGINE light flash numerous times indicating which error it is based on the sequence of flashs?

you have a cover for the fuse box??? i never had one on mine ... (methinks ive been ripped) :?

Something tells me the diagnostic isn't going to work for you.
