Hi Jerry,
I got front and rear strut braces OMP ones. I also got new Gti fuel pump, Samco silicon hoses, TD04 turbo and engine will be here soon. Once I get those on a palet, I will send it down to you.
Do you want me to make a turbo manifold or do you want me to send it down as a kit?
Cheers Atchi

Hi,
Jerry has all the parts I bought. I'm not in hurry so they are taking time off for a bit I guess! They need to make money but not from me!

The escort has gone back to my friend for him to finish off in his own time, all running & cage etc fitted. Needs some coilovers to adjust the height too Attachment:

Vid of it driving: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRhVyPR2SzwSo we will get back on the mK 1 for Atchi We have actually done a load of work on the MK1, but nothing much to show, steering column modified to work, pedal box modified. All shell welding just about finished.

There is a progress now.
Andy aka Garndi got my car from Jimbo to finish as Jimbo is too busy to finish my car. I will be going over to see it tomorrow afternoon so hopefully watch this space!

Hi,
I don't want to bad mouth Jimbo but I think not working on the car for over 2 years and sea air where my car lived for last 2 years outside didn't help.
Andy is sending me a lot of photos as he progress(!?) my car and in many cases I wanted to cry.....
It is very much 2 steps forwards and 5 steps back but I hope my car's phase 1 build will be over in next 4 to 5 weeks.
Once again thank you very much to Andy, my hard earned cash is not wasted.
Cheers Atchi

Sea air + outside living is not the best recipe. Glad to hear there is some progress now, it is in good hands.

Hi, Since Howsie asked! So Andy has been working hard on it. When he got it, looked OK but bit weathered in sea air. Result is this. Attachment: File comment: roll cage made it worth

Then he got his mate to do welding for me. Attachment: File comment: Welded floor

I asked him to convert rear shock mounts to take coil overs if and when I want to do this. He did very good job and I settled my seat so he will finished it soon. Cheers Atchi
