Sunday afternoon...Spotted a focus orange Gti being towed by a land rover defender. Also spotted a red Mk2 in my sisters neigbours backyard WITH Mk2 cultus tail lights and rear bar! Guy had no idea that they are a less common tail light assembly

There is a dark green gti (late model mk3) identical to mine that floats around Runaway Bay, seen yesterday around 3pm on Oxley Drive, I've actually gone to unlock at the shopping centre thinking it was my car don't know who owns it, their windows are as tinted as mine can't ever see the driver! Anyone know who it is?

There's a couple GTI's i keep seeing around my area. Two dark blue ones, One always parked on Findon road with a white cursive sticker on the back window and another blue one with rims+exhaust always parked on the top of the hill on grange road in between Findon and Tapleys hill road. Also a white GTI with a dump pipe always parked in West beach. Has HKS sticker on the side and some almost deep dish rims! There's also a red GTI i see floating around but someone poorly spray painted the bonnet black and made it look disappointing

This is an un-spot post. In the USA I have never spotted a GTI on public roads in the thirty plus years they have been in this country. I have spotted maybe 5 Suzs Swifts on the road in the last 5 years in my neck of the woods. I have spotted 3 gti's for sale on line on the Washington/Oregon coast areas, one is mine, one I saw was a blacky purchase and currently being renewed from the emerald city(Seattle?) area and one I saw for sale on craigs list in the Portland Oregon area. Very rare birds here and I spotted a race with maybe 30 Gtis in Auz. Sheesh.

Yeah, if you like the GTi, Australia is the place to be. You still regularly see them on the roads. Hopefully will keep us here in parts for some time to come!

Unless you live in Western Australia... I'm lucky to see one or two a year! In saying that, I spotted a dark blue one in Armadale a week and a half ago.

I know of about 12 in the state (2 I have, 3 Thedozzman has in his shed!) I did spot the one I had briefly earlier in the year as a daily. Unfortunately its been banged up a fair bit (lots of small dents everywhere!) since I sold it back in May Might have to buy it back and give it some tlc lol!

Spotted light blue MK2 on the F3 (M1) southbound at 7.15am this morning, I was the guy in the BT50 that gave you the thumbs up and took the berowra exit. Also, your bonnet was unlatched.

Next door to my sister's place. The guy didn't know the tail lights are sought after, haven't popped the bonnet yet.... Could it be??

It might! Rear upper bumper is another sought after item. Check for tubular intake, 4-1 headers, knock sensor plus single-pipe brake proportioning valve under bonnet. And F6 ECU if you get a chance... Best get fence climbing again! Cheers, Drew
