im only speaking the truth of my part, when i spoke to jamie, that was his asking price--it had just been listed in an editorial in fast fours as for sale, with jamies mobile number next to it.
This was back before Jamie and Snake started S & R Pro, and probably the reason he wanted to raise money by selling the car.
Ive always aspired to this car, and im glad it still exists (weve seen a few come into redline with new owners and then dissapear, look what happened to Phil with the stereo being stolen from KBoom :( )
Brad, your car had 4playn plates didnt it? Pookie wanted too much for it when i asked him, it was jamie`s missus`s car wasnt it?

yeah my car was jamies ex gf's car, it had plates playn, and I bought it from snake, who owned it after jamie- pookie was driving it around up in QLD for Snake so when he was up there he had a car,

he smashed almost everything on it and was rebuilt just before i bought it......

I'll fill in some of the blanks.

Paid 15k for ITSMAD. When it was purchased, it was in pieces really.
It was re-assembled in Snakes garage before we brought it home. Required a new turbo and new injectors. Took a good 8-10 hours to get it ready to even start it. Had to flush the tank also.
Fired it up and drove it back to qld.
I believe all up to get it home, the car owed around 20k.

Since that time, its had quite alot changed.
Had an engine rebuild, due to a failure mentioned on here. A valve stuck open, and the rest you could say was history. The only parts we kept from the previous setup were the cams and crank. Put argo rods, ross pistons in a new block, the JG Cylinder Head was destroyed also. The new head, flows far more anyway, so it was more 1 step back, 2 steps forward.
With the internally gated GT2876R with .84 rear housing, it showed alot of promise, but we couldnt keep the internal gate shut. Instead of fitted an external, the opportunity to change to superior turbocharger, and change other things was there, and thats pretty much where it sits atm.

Mick(owner/brother), has purchased what is required to finish it, and just hasnt really bothered. He was working up North for some time, and also has no license. He has other toys that he was focussing on, but is now going to get it going again in the near future. As much as I'm sure it annoys some people, it really isnt a huge priority of his.

So there is a little bit of history of it.

So update, it sits there waiting for Mick to get some motivation lol

Unfortunately it's prob just gonna end up getting parted out or some s**t
Owner doesn't care bout the car he's too busy with other stuff

I'd have that running a reliable 300kw awd

I wouldn't pay more than $4000 for it

I wanted that white one that racer5 sold but someone stuffed me over on that car and beat me to it behind my back after I told them I was buying it

Wow, you really are a nasty piece of work!

From what I have seen prices have actually been on the way up for the last two years as they are now becoming rare, especially Mk1s as they are now eligible for historic rego here in WA.

Not being nasty just being realistic

I want an immaculate awd gti Like its mad
I would pay a lot more money for that because it's clean and a lot of work has been done to it..

I've seen gtps swift it's that Matt black one not as clean as I would like one
And as for the sedan, not a fan of the sedans

The sedan is tidy, not everyones cup of tea but in better nick than the majority of Swifts out there.
How do you know itsmad is immaculate? After all these years sitting around it could be a hunk of crap rusting away. Have seen plenty good looking pics of cars and in real life they're nasty looking.
