Hey guys just wondering what mods you have done on your ignis sport??

All i have done so far on mine are to paint the brake calipers red, Put phillips blue vision park lights in & just on friday I had my zaust done, I got rid of the chamber and I am now running 2 3/8" pipe straight to a autotechnica 2.5" cannon. Its a lot louder, but no louder than any turbo car with a big zaust, & it feels like theres more power at the wheels.

Haven't touched mine yet.. just factory options.. new car warranty is keeping me under control :)

What is the performance gain like with the exhaust? noticeable?

Its probly only a small kw gain , But its a heap more responsive ,1st & 2nd gear seem to stretch out longer, as well as accelerating faster.
It also sounds a lot faster

Tinted windows - fully metallised.
35% on the sides, 20% on the rear... looks nice.

Haven't wound down my windows 6 days.

Will be throwing 2x10" subs in the boot soon enough. As soon as I find the time to build the custom boxes. I was concerned about people being able to see it in the boot, but once you tint the windows and stick that cloth parcel shelf on you can't see a thing.

I think the modding and technical sections of the Ignis forum will be a bit slow on the uptake until people build up the courage to void their factory warranty ;)

Please note that only selected things can void your warranty
I think
Engine/valve cover on the engine is only a cover over the coils and plugs it doesnt even need to be there.
A different exhaust will only effect the exhaust warranty.
Lowered springs might void shocks, but you will need to put lowered shocks on to handle good anyway.
Be careful doing anything with the airbox.

The main reason I got the Ignis Sport is because it doesn't need a great deal of modding. I'd be happy with a bigger sound system - and if I get it wired by an auto-elec it won't void any warranty.

Yeah all i plan on doing next is the sound system, probly just a 10" sub & amp, In a box that i'll build myself, then i'll probly buy some lock nuts for my wheels. :o

True dat. Since I can't cram 6x9's in, and I've got a 4 channel amp.. I think I'll stick in two 10" subs. My mate has a spare exactly like the one I've got.. It'll be in stereo and everything.

Mmmmm.... stereo subs. Oh the fun you could have. I'll be making some custom boxes too.

The HU is a Clarion off-the-shelf head unit. It should have a line-out on the back of it already.
The one in the standard Ignis doesn't - it's the same HU as the Mitsu Mirage.

It does......
but it only has one pair of 2v outs.....
not enough for me and it doesn't have a very nice eq either....

I guess it is a middle range unit, but at least we don't have to upgrade it before installing amps.

anything with high voltage preouts and a subwoofer output!
