I've heard that Turbo + VVT = Bad.

I've been told to supercharge if anything.

Bad???? More like better than average.... I know with VVTL-i in the Celica's, you can tune it so that even a big turbo can spool up high boost at relatively low rpm....

Why do you think turbo integra [B18C], civic's [B16A] and S2000's get massive power gains from low boost???

i seen one of these at the Mini QLD cruise not really my cup of tea....i think IMO they are far to high and they seem to have half the speed perfomance of any MK3 - MK1 GTi.

looking at the engine it seem u could not even drop a pin in there everything seemed so tight and alot of plastic every where.

- peace

You seen the specs? The quarter mile time out of the box would rank about #7 in redlinegti's top 10.

I'll have one of those soon, as an interim to the ignis....

666 - Suzukisport offer 2 fixes to your issues, 1. lowered seat rails, for better driver position 2. Height adjustable coil-overs.

There's actually more than enough room, without removing the air conditioning for a full turbo setup. The main issue is the composite inlet manifold...

:)

thanks for the updates.

i have seen the stock ride height but i was talking about them being tall they look tall.

and just going on the perfromance on the QLD mini cruise i did not see the Ignis as a contender to any of the GTi's that were there.

Hopefully we will see some GTi vs Ignis action the big day im sure i got 2 people GTi's lined up for a friendly matchup.

ps....no offence to any Ignis owners at all.

- peace

I wanted to race some of the gti's on the way back, but no one was intrested & i dont have a uhf radio so contact was hard, there was 1 guy but he had gear troubbles so it did not count,
Maybe on the next cruise we will have a friendly matchup. :D

More than likely for safety reasons.

i agree with what 666 says about the looks...im not fond of how all the new small hatches all look so tall...nothing seems to be streamlined anymore altho with modern technology it probably is even if it doesnt look it...

the engine specs in the ignis sports are nice tho...

The car looks high, but there's a lot more headroom and the Ignis still has a relatively low centre of gravity.
