Hi,

I went and test drove a Ignis Sport today and found the clutch to be very heavy. Coming from a golf gti I found this odd as the Golf was a lot lighter.

Cheers

The standard OEM clutch on a Ignis Sport should not be heavy at all.

Maybe the Ignis Sport you test drove has a heavy duty clutch put in.

Equally likely is that the clutch cable needs replacing.

Thanks, I suspected that the clutch was on its way out, but just wanted to check. For a 1.5 I would have thought it would have been very light

Oo well, will keep looking

Cheers

Is it hydraulic? GTI was, and it was really light, especially compared to my old rexy.

Can't find another one to test drive to compare so am a bit stuck, o well patience is a virtue.

GTi is cable not hydraulic, unless you converted it.

Mine feels heavier than a lot of small cars ive owned/driven, but i woulnt say it's that heavy compared to some cars ive driven. Friction point at traffic lights can sometimes be a test of the muscles in your ankle :P
