Yep, can't wait for the next cruise. I think it's just a matter of someone naming a date. I'd say to do it while petrols are cheap.

Also, the ozmazdacalub seemed to have a solution to the drive-by-wire throttle response. IT can basically be fixed by grounding the throttle body directly to the battery:

What's funny is that I did the exact same mod in the Ignis to improve spark. The resistance between the battery and the engine went from 2000 ohms to about 2ohms. Made a good difference.

[Edit] Measured the Mazda. zero ohms resistance between the battery and the engine block (yay!), but there's ~1150ohms resistance between the battery and the throttle body. Looks like the engine is properly grounded from the factory (unlike the Ignis), but the TB needs a grounding cable. I'd imagine that much resistance is bound to introduce noise to the signal.

Oh, and for the Ignis guys - I'd recommend a ground cable for the engine block. It makes the car a bit more responsive, and it's only a few bucks to do.
