A mate of mine currently has a UNICHIP A Piggy-back ECU for sale out of his 1998 WRX.
Does anyone know anything about these ECU's and whether or not they are compatable with a MK3 GTi ? And what type of tuning parameters it will allow for. Im looking at something cheap that will allow better tuning of AFR's, Timing and help get some more grunt out of the GTi.

Ive tried researching it on google, but i havent had much luck finding any answers.

For the price I have seen charged for UNICHIPS I wonder why people don't spend the little bit extra and get a full aftermarket ECU.

They are very popular for plug-in replacements, but if you don't have the benefit of straight plug-in I would investigate the myriad of other alternatives.

As I have mentioned in the past, you're best to find a tuner.. then find the ECU.
