Does anyone know with accuracy the size of the shock absorber shaft diameter where it mounts in the strut top/top mount. Need to order some adapters to suit an adjustable top mount.

Hi gtp. Look I’m in LA right now but I’m home Monday. I have some struts disassembled off the mark 2. When I get home I can measure if that helps. What did you want exactly. The main shaft diameter or the threaded part? Cheers G

Btw. Don’t know how you are going to mount them but when I did couple of things to check. On original springs on max camber the springs or tops from memory hit the inner well. If you have straight springs with modded shocks then no worries. Other thing is you can get more camber than you need but doesn’t help castor unless you turn the adjuster around and drill new holes. I went 30 degrees but thinking of going to 40degrees rotated. This has given me much more castor but I can still get three degrees of neg camber. I am running late model struts etc on the front so it’s quite different. Sorry if you know all this but I learnt the hard way 8-[....btw....nice looking adjusters!

Thanks mate. Ive bought these more for caster as I already have up to 4 degrees negative.
I want the threaded and thinner section which needs the stepped washer/adapter slid over to step up to the pillow ball internal diameter. The bit that seats in the top mount.
before I leave the UK Im ordering as many parts as possible for this and the Escort.

Cheers

They look like S13 top plates and they have larger studs that go through the turret mount holes.
