Hello,

Wanting to replace the standard fuel pump in my GTi with a VL turbo fuel pump.

Using this guide https://www.redlinegti.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=34792&hilit=+how+remove+fuel+tank I've removed the tank.

To tell you, the VL fuel pump is too long in length to fit in place of the standard GTi pump because inside the tank there's a baffled surge system.

I have two questions which I hope could be answered first of which; can the VL fuel pump live in tank and my second question is should I cut out a little of the baffle plate to make room for the pump fit to inside?

I have taken a couple of photos with my phone for you to see. Please help.

An idea I've from gticon is to cut the metal pipe leading out of the tank from the fuel pump, connecting it with rubber hose.

Can I use vl fuel pump in-tank?
