Im interested to know the later models g16, the ones with the crank balanced, if putted together with forged rods and bolts which are the weakest points of the engine, how hard will it be able to rev?

Anyone with g16botton+ g13b head that can give advice?

Thanks

There are plenty that have done it but the rods are not the only problem as the pistons and crank are connected to those rods. A std bottom end with GTi head can run to 8K but the tuning is critical so aftermarket ECU is warranted.

Why dont they just call it "Womenapause" instead.

Due to the low rod ratio of 1.52 the piston speed @ 8k rpm equates to a 4age piston speed of 11k rpm.
