Hey, I just replaced the water pump and put on a new timing belt for good measure. While the cams were locked and all marks lined up and before the new timing belt was on, I removed the dissy to replace it's leaking o ring (the one that goes into the head). Put it all back together while following the service manual re lining up the marks etc.

Went to time the engine but for some weird reason I couldn't advance it more than 5 degrees as I ran out of rotation when turning the dissy. Tried a few more times with fine tuning where 'top dead centre' was on the cam and at best was only able to get about 6 degrees advance before again, I ran out of adjustment.

Can any explain why I cant advance the dissy/timing more than 6 degrees? Yesterday I had heaps of adjustment but today something has gone terribly wrong.

Thanks,
Rick
