Hey, i'm running 185 55 14 tires, and the speedo with a stock gti gearbox is 5 to 10km off spec when comparing with gps, changing the final drive ratio from 4.1 to 4.4, will help or be worst? or make no difference at all on the speedo?

changing final drive will not change speedo since the reading is taken from diff carier after all gear reduction, you can play with the speedo gear or tire size to acheive your goal, but i would say, spend this time/money elsewhere

Is indicated speed lower or higher than actual?

Speedo will be 5-10km off gps, which is a more accurate measure of speed, distance over time.
Speedo will be off by a larger margin, the faster you go.

Changing final drive will not help. What do you want to achieve with the speedo reading, accuracy?

Thanks for the answers

Currently speedo is reading faster, with stock gearbox, i was concerned that it would get worst with the 4.4 final drive
