hi all, i just joined up. My first car was a datsun 1600, but unfourtunately i have to sell it due to not having enough cash to keep fixing it :( (i HATE rust!!) and ive always liked swift gti's, so ive decided to get one. Just wondering a few things: #1-what is the best series to buy, #2- how difficult is it to fix a gearbox? I know that they're prone to breaking, just wondering how difficult it is to fix one, and how expensive. is it possible to strenghthen them so it wont EVER break?? #3- how worn do the engines get after 200,000 k's? as in, do i buy one now for 2.500 with over 200,00k's, or do i save another month or so and buy one with 150,00k's?

all replies are appreciated, as i dont know very much about the car, other than i want one!!
