nice ride man.
Deep pockets? Hardly.
G13B is the most reliable engine ive had.
It pisses oil everywhere, but has not let me down, its on 260klm and blows no smoke. couldnt ask for a more reliable daily.

Not because of the engine though... mine also pisses oil everywhere (mostly from the dissy). The expense came from drivetrain issues directly attributable to the abuse given to her from the ignorant owners before me. Cheers, Drew

hi all...
i have randomly lurked on and off for several years. always when i get flash backs to the good ol' days. maybe bathurst weekend has a little to do with it.
i was once an original owner of a group N mark brame special GTi. how i missed it over the years. one of those cars that i should never had sold.
a pic below.
i see that they come up every now and then for sale and i would be keen to own one once more. i think mine was number 6 or 7 but the memory is vague here. i know it was the N (besides the sticker on teh back) as i couldnt quite afford the extra cash for the group A. paid 32000 for it back in the day.
heres a pic...

Thanks for posting the pic, any info on these is always great to have. They do turn up every now and then, but unfortunately they are usually missing the Simmons or have had other mods done. I have seen Brame 3,6,9,11 and 12 come through the site, and photos of a couple of others (but numbers unknown). 9 Was also written off (you can find a thread about it on here). If you have any brochures / flyers / price guides / etc. for the Brame, I would greatly appreciate a scan of them! or would be happy to purchase them too Have you got any other photos of it?

hey everyone i just joined after months of turning to this site every time i have new question.
I'm only 21 and i live in the US. I've been a life long fan of the swift. i remember the first time i laid eyes on one. my aunt bought a black 92 swift gt in late 1994 and I've wanted one ever since.
when I tuned 18 i received a 93 Geo Metro as a birthday gift it was green with white front panels and a black hood but i loved it regaurdless. I'm still driving this car today but you wouldn't beleive its the same car.
just this last Feb. my aunt finally decided to let me buy her swift gt. she told me the brakes were all but completely shot and she was right. she sold it to me for $200 usd. when i looked under the car to jack it up and work on the breaks i noticed that the floorboard of the car was so rusted i could see the wires that run to the back of the car from underneath it.
I've since set about taking anything that is salvagable and putting it into the Geo.

swap all the running gear. turn that Geo into a faster hatch.

Well I bought a Swift GTI. Actually I haven't picked it up yet but I have paid the deposit Currently I drive an R31 Skyline Wagon but I feel it is time for a light and quick hatch with a bit of style to it so I though what about a swift? The one I have lined up is black with the usual wheel, suspension and exhaust modifications done to it. Non GTI box though...may have to get that changed but we will see. I hope to learn more about the car and what sort modifications I can do on it in the future. Cheers, Tristan

Hi All,
I'm Johnny from Perth WA in my late 20's a Mechanic by trade and an ex Suzuki New Car Salesman.
Bought my first GTI for $100 a little over 12 months ago with rego and it drove home, had a blast on that short drive, and i cant wait to get another as the structure on this one is not the best and its destend to be a parts car.

Hello,
I have been a member here for a long time but have not introduced myself. I am from the northwest USA. Not many GTis in the states it seems.
I have 3 geos, 1 geo vert, and one GTi. Took forever to find the GTi and had to pick it up out of town and tow it home. It was over priced. Has plugged injectors, interior has some issues. The car was stolen and then bought from an auction-- somewhat repaired, painted. The sterring is messed up. Then I bought it.
Pic from when I bought it.
