Hi Guys
In the next month or so I will be pulling my gti engine down to replace the valve stem seals to try and rectify my smoke issue. I thought I should throw the question out there to see if anyone has had good luck with a certain brand or if they have just run a generic brand and had no issues.
Thanks

Are you talking about Volkswagen GTI?
By the way Ebay is best to find out Stem Seals because there you can read the customer reviews

I changed my valve stems to ITM because my exhausts had some wear. I purchased felpro seals because I know that brand. On installation the felpro won't fit at all. The ITM were marginally bigger. The felpro did however fit the stock guides. In the end I purchased the ITM seals and it matched the ITM guides. Just some info to help your decision.

After chatting with a few mechanics and engine builders I went with genuine Suzuki stem seals. Not too badly priced at $120 for the set. I have not quite finished my new shed so have not started pulling the engine down to fit them. I will be fitting them while in car. Fingers crossed I have no issues.

Aye, that's actually not a bad price at all. Where do they manufacture those seats btw, do you know?
