Decided on light grey instead of white this time around, finished painting the underside and engine bay today.

Fitted up my modded shifter assembily (swift sport mechanism on G16 box)
Cleaned up the welds on the trans tunnel
And plasma cut a hole in firewall to run cables through.
Not happy about cable length, but you get that when you throw a 2008 shifter in a 1993 car lol
Gear selection isn't real good yet, but my G16 box has been sitting idle for about 8 years
Hopefully it improves with a bit of use..

File comment: Shifter would be flush with handbrake if I mounted it to cable length... Not entirely happy

2k, Last time when it was white I used enamel underneath and in the wheel arches and 2k everywhere else but this time I've just used 2 pac through out, very happy with the result.

Today I weighed the bare shell, something I have wanted to do for quite some time.
189kgs for the bare shell, a few extra kgs in the new seat mounts and new tunnel, haven't figured out what the roll cage weighs yet.

Shorter actually :-k but that could be because I've combined a mix of parts.
I've added a stick extension to the top so it falls easily to hand like a rally car.

Went to Bob Jane to get some new tyres. Ended up choosing new alloys as well. Got a quote. Went back today, they went fit the new wheels. The guy had got the stud pattern measurement wrong. Ended up he offered me wheels that cost $200 each for the same price as the original quote. Final outcome: four new wheels and tyres for $990.
