Custom scratch building skirts.
And coming along nicely. Got basic shape off cornice from bunnings, tweaking cutting and reglassing... Should look like enhanced factory when done

looks interesting... Keen to see how they light up out of curiosity.

I pulled the front bar and front wheels off. Fitted my CF Vents to the front bar, and began working out the best route for an air intake to the turbo setup.

Bought a mint condition GA gearbox, cleaned up very nicely with industrial degreaser.
8) Was the last piece of the puzzle to put the white GTI back on the road.
It's been parked for the better part of 3 years..

How have you got it supported like that dattman?

EDIT: is that a ratchet strap through the drivers door?

Rachet strap was on the side intrusion bar just to help me lift it once I got past the range of my jack, it got to a point where I could tilt it over myself without the ratchet, there is a tall axle stand under the passengers side intrusion bar, it's actually very stable on the three axle stands.
The bare shell is not actually very heavy even with the rollcage.

Slinging engine assembily into the shell, first one I've ever installed with an engine crane instead of muscle.
Thanks to my wife for buying me one :)

No, I considered it but I would lose my towing and jacking point and the rear suspension crossmember/chassis is still in the way, I will do a rear diffuser around the tyre well once I have done the undertray, the under tray will only span the chassis rails underneath and extend from the steering rack back to the rear suspension sub frame, then the diffuser.

Since there is no nice way to get air out of the tyre wells and intergrate it into a diffuser I decided these panels are the easiest, lightest and cheapest way of getting the air in and around the wheels out, bumper has already been cut to suit, I also panelled over the void infront of the rear suspension arm mounting point, doing everything I can to reduce rear end lift and to keep the balance of the car right once I add my aero front bumper.

I just saw the tin and the pen marks thought you might be getting ready to cut.

Noticed you took out the upper coil receiver, are you doing coilover conversion?
