Relocated battery to the back of the car, installed isolator switch, tidied wiring in engine bay and made up an alternate positive jump start location under the bonnet.

Managed to max out the dyno! 8-[

Wiring side of things are complete and looking very neat thanks to Alex. Cas and coilpack set up is done and looking great thanks to Josh.
Will be jumping down to Morpowa in the morning to run vac line to the internal map on the Haltech then hopefully can get the car onto the dyno for tune and run the new engine in.

Dyno graph to come

For anyone looking to get their cars tuned in Adelaide head down to Morpowa. The quality of the work these guys do is unreal!

Counted around 15 new small dents in the roof after last night's storm made the redgum tree outside my house drop a bundle of nuts.

Gutted. :(

How good are these paint-less dent removal guys? Any opinions?

The one I know is very very good. Talk to dealerships as they use them from time to time and would require guys who know how to get a good result.

Put original Airbox and new air filter back in my mk3 today and new rotor button. The dizzy seal was stretched and sloppy so i cut it remarked it at right size cut about 10mm off one end and rejoined it using a bit of heat shrink adding heat from a lighter, worked a treat. Thread soon to come re: my mk 3.

Dropped the car off it's stands while lifting the rear to remove the suspension

Thankfully only broke a spare bit of glass I had stored and dented my ego.. also made a 30 minute job an 2 hour one while I righted the car :(

Noice.
If "X" is an Unknown quantity, and a Spurt is a drip under pressure, then an "EXPERT" is an "Unknown Drip Under Pressure".
Why dont they just call it "Womenapause" instead.

Gas - yes. Straight and square - I'm trying.
No hole yet. Need to undo the spots on the rail and the bracket on the sill.

Are you able to move the seat inboard by any amount in 3j?

I looked at cutting the tunnel and moving the seat in by a few cm, but I'm not planning on log booking my car, if I ever finish it.

Are you lowering the whole seat or just the back of it? If the whole seat, wont you have to cut the front mount? If the back, wont you only need to angle the floor pan down to accommodate the difference?

Simon is lowering the whole seat and pushing it further back and towards the center into a custom floor pan that spans from behind and below the existing seat crossmember and from sill to about 30-40mm into the so called transmission tunnel or in our interpretation of the rules the handbrake hump!
Should see him 100mm further back and 60mm lower and 35mm closer to centre making the work worthwhile. We will be making the pan up in 2 folded sheet parts and will utilise the remains of the short chassis rail to support the center. The seat will sit on the new floor which is aligned with the lowest part of the current floor structure.

As GTP has said, our interpretation is you cannot modify the transmission tunnel. But, being a front wheel drive we don't have "transmission" to the rear wheels, therefore we don't have a transmission tunnel as such. The hump is therefor part of the floor pan and can be modified for the purpose of fitting a seat as per reg 3.20 in the 3J regs.

3.20 Floorpan: It is permitted to modify the floorpan in the immediate area of the driver's seat, to permit the fitment of a replacement seat. No part of the modified body work may extend any lower than the surrounding bodywork.
