I've been pretty quiet the last year or so on this forum, I have been lurking though, keeping an eye on a few peoples projects and now I'm about to go into hibernation for the next year or so.

On the 22nd of next month it will be the 7 year anniversary of our deadly earthquakes which changed Christchurch and everyone in it forever, after 6 years of battling our insurance company for a fair resolution to our earthquake damaged home we have finally settled, we got paid out for the repair process and sold the damaged home "as is", it was not exactly a fair resolution but for the sake of our mental health we had to take it and move on.

Our home which was 4 months old at the time can never be repaired to pre earthquake standard so we going to build again, our temporary accommodation has no garage so the Suzuki and all our toys have gone into storage.

The rest of the car parts, fibreglass parts and moulds are stored elsewhere as is my new short block, finally got my low km Jimny block together, 2nd hand cultus pistons scrubbed up pretty well 8)

If anyone needs me I've turned on email notification for PMs, I just won't be lurking around on redline now that I've got a house to build (actually two), hopefully 2019 will be the year I get racing again.

Adios - Derek
