Turbo chip socket is in with a few hiccups on the socket install. I went ahead and fitted the turbo exhaust to the down-pipe. I have it all tack welded and now at the shop to be tig welded which will be a hell of a lot prettier and longer lasting then my stick welding. I added a 2" section in to put in the wideband o2 sensor so it is even with the firewall. I have a couple extra days off this weekend. I hope to install the oil feed, and water lines which I have all the parts, and wideband and boost gauge.

I thought the sensor would be better placed nearer the furnace and rotary air pump.

I'm using the Innovate guidelines for distance from turbo. There are plenty of people that put it closer, but this is also a daily driver where I put a ton of miles on it where I probably would be replacing the sensor after a couple years. As long as there are no leaks in the exhaust system it will be accurate there which technically just meets the distance requirement. I went with the Marman exhaust flange there that uses a gasket unlike the standard V-band clamps. The seal clamps down amazingly well. I wish they had made the flange from a true 16 gauge stainless, but it should last a long time.

Port matched a few things, and finished up the bracket for the heim joint lower turbo support mount. I now have all the parts for the oil cooling system. I should get it in over the weekend.

I have seen that on the signature of someone else account state side, but not me. I cannot wait to actually drive this thing. This is my daily driver, but the adapter leaves me with the ability to switch to a T3 turbo relatively quickly.

Will the turbocharger build is done, but my ECU is shot and I cannot figure out how to fix it at the moment. Here is the most recent pictures I grabbed of the area around the chip. When I put the 28 pin socket in I had melted off some pads. I thought I had it fixed and everything tests out with an ohm meter, and no shorts. If you see something or have some advice here please share. I am a day away from purchasing a stand alone Megasquirt 2 (that is about the extent that I can afford). I would like to salvage the ECU. I'll post a WTB, but looking for something state side if possible. The one pin that has no pad is soldered on the opposite side and shows good continuity to the next point. At this point I'm thinking about taking the socket all the way off an resoldering it. Tomorrow I might pull my other cars ECU just to take a look at the board unmolested.

I figured it out and got it fixed. I was able to compare with my 90GT ECU(it is a F3), but is close enough to compare. The connectors are the same. It turns out that pins 27 & 28 need to be soldered together.

I still haven't got to test drive this car. I'm now waiting on some gasket upgrades between the exhaust manifold and turbo and the waste gate block plate. I'll have to fill the adapter holes and grind flat. The leak was throwing off my wideband sensor to 18 to 19:1 at idle. I wasn't going to put load on the system until I see that those numbers are erroneous. I had to settle for a few smooth sounding revs as it was initially warming up. I have all the parts in my cart for Megasquirt 2 standalone, but I still have a couple more questions for DIY. Hopefully, I won't have anymore roads blocks before actually taking it for a drive.
