Hello again,
I think it time for a updates on this car. Easter this year the car was pulled apart back to the body, and that was when I discovered that the body was twisted. so it was used as a parts car for my barina projects.
The barina was pulled apart in the following days, with the brakes, doors, boot lid, and a heap more parts being swaped over. While i had the barina in peaces, alot of things didn't make it back into the rebuild like piller gauges, shift light and part of the stereo.
As for the 16v sohc 1.3L i had built for the car a year earlier, (as seen on TeamSwift) It losed 30psi compseion in cylinder 2, for a unknowen reasion at this stage, so the twincam motor was put in to get me on the road, as for the gearbox it is need of a rebuild before i can use it again, so a barina 5 speed was used that came out of the car a week or two earlier.
In July the car was Rwc and rego, the old gti shell was taken way loaded up with unwanted parts and scraped.
In October the barina got a respray in silver with me learning to used some new tools. It looks like i used hammer tone paint. It's now December and i'm just enjoying driving my barina again.

Hi guy's and girl's, Here are the gauge pods and shift light that didn't make it back in the car.
This is the mid wing making from start to finish.
And here is the sub box and flat floor.

You are so nice to your car, keeping it under a blanket to keep it warm. But this is Brisbane. Well done to make a rear wing.

Hello again, not much has happened in the last month, except the car now has it's badges back on and i have a leak from the rear main or gearbox input seal. so i thought i might share some of the Sohc motor picks. Now it is just sitting on a stand in the shed, waiting for me to get some small parts for the engine and rewire the speeduino computer for it.

hello again, An update on the sohc motor, I removed the cylinder head and checked for anything leaking past the valves on No.2 cylinder and found no leak. so I cleaned it up and reinstalled it with a mls gasket. then I replaced the cam and crank sprockets from 19mm to 25mm wide, and changed my triggering system on the crank to a 32 -1 trigger wheel, I still need to get a sensor and make a mount for it. also needed to finish the motor off is a timing cover , water pump pully, Ls1 coils and then adding a turbo. And a barina update, last week it started to ping, so on the weekend I cheeked the timing, and found the crank was out of time with the cams. so I fixed it and found that my cold start idle was back to normal and I can maintain a constant rpm now while driving. that's all for now, i'll keep you posted

Hi again, the twin cam head is back on and the car is running good with it's new rad. while I had the inlet manifold off it was ported to 60mm throttle. new paper gasket for the idle air control valve was made and installed. and lastly the rear hub bushes were replaced with white line bushes.
A few weeks have past and it now has a sr20 60mm throttle body installed, also a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and fuel gauge.
