Tiny bit more trimming to do & then a week of welding should see a nice solid shell

Hi,
Spec I want Jerry to build my toy as follows:-
mk2 Gti engine with turbo running Garndi's turbo chip. Cylinder head is modified by Madzuki. Turbo manifold is what I have made with Saab 9000 Garret. Adjustable cam drives I may use modified inlet manifold. Subaru Justy running gear with a short prop instead of a VC. Gti disc brakes all around. lowered springs. 14" Suzuki option alloys with 165 tyre for a sleeper look. Roll cage. one off exhaust. I'm hoping to have LSDs but see how much it will cost first!
Cheers Atchi

When Atchi asked us to restore his Mk 1 GTI we agreed & picked it up for him, sadly like most MK 1 GTI's in the UK it was rotten to say the least. We searched high & low to find a new floor, even the local hardware shop didn't have one. The only genuine Suzuki floor we could get at a realistic price was a Subaru Justy (Suzuki Cultus), so we set about making it fit, this is how it looks so far: Attachment:

We couldnt get Swift GTI sills either, so we modified MK 3 Ford Fiesta ones to fit: Attachment:

We don't have the time to remove the 4WD running gear & sadly the mounts are now for the 4WD gearbox. So Atchi will have to put up with having a 4WD Turbo MK1 Swift

Hi,
I just went into my sheds and I have 2 spare 185/55-14 tyres... brand new. I'm not sure if they will fit my sleeper look.
mk2 Gti and Justy came with 175/60-14, so not sure what will be the best choice!
Cheers Atchi

GTP We are juggling a couple of customer projects at the moment, Atchi is in no rush & I picked this up for a friend on Wednesday: Attachment:

An hour with the Plasma cutter & it looked like this: Attachment:

The floors were completely rotten, but its a good base for what my friend has in mind, Subaru WRX STI running gear

Cheers Atchi Thats great Atchi, stick it all on a pallet & send it down, tempted to get this done for you before Barkston. Would your boss let you come out to play ?

I'm sure she will but I won't be able to take my car home as yet! She doesn't know about this car.
I'm hoping by telling her that my mini is too precious so i need to buy a track car... oh what Jerry got here?
I got a Gti fuel pump also.
I'm hoping to come down for a 16vmini day and bring mate over with his Mini Midas with Honda engine. When was it?
Cheers Atchi
