Mine's a standard Gti Hardtop (Mk2) so no real problem finding parts for it. (Getting the spare cash together however.... ) There are lots of guys (and some girls possibly) here who would have more experience tracking stuff down, but failing that start with a WTB in the for sale parts section. Found some great stuff and met some good and helpful people that way. Of course there are also wrecking yards but Cultus cars would be rare there and convertables probably more so. (If DrelvisGTi knows of one down his way he might be able to source the name or number for you. ) Sorry thats about as much help as I can offer there.

Just got new carpet from acc via stock interiors in the US so I'll post some pics of carpet etc stripped out, just finished detailing her hoping to be at towradgi car and bike show 7th oct (not to enter of course that would be silly since its not a muscle car, but should be a good day anyway.

So the carpet was really good quality only downfall was i had to cut off some of the underlay as it was positioned wrong compared to original but the finish is great (buy a decent stanley knife and upholstery stapler gun from bunnings), so far no luck on finding new boot carpet but i've sprayed it in a similar colour of the main part of car.
Suprisingly these cars didnt come with boot and petrol lid levers/cables but installed some that i found at dapto pick a part in a swift sedan.
Renewed a whole bunch of missing clips instead of sticky tape from previous owner.
Also i have been searching for parts for this engine seems to be a swift 13b bottom end with similar to the 1.6 16v top end.
Spark plugs, make sure they are 1.1mm not 0.8mm i used a bosch platinum plus FR6DPX (P14-4) instead of ngk as these were on special at super cheap, dont use a standard $4 plug they are a waste of money.
The leads were annoying to find but they are eagle 1, #E74295(refer to photo).
A new rotor cap made by fuel miser is actually from a mazda 121 89-90 #JP718.
Still looking for rotor button which is the sought after mitsubishi t189.
Also had to do the tappet cover gasket (in photo, kit came with outer seal and spark plug tube seals).
Distributor 'o' ring (no listings in alot of catalogues and would be original part only from a dealership, which im still looking for, waiting on suzuki for answer.
Hope some of these parts/numbers will help out you other owners
If you cant find what your looking for talk to wollongong auto supplies (02) 42 299 178 most of their pricing is about half of other people and they actually know what they are talking about

since its impossible for even suzuki head office to help with imports i went to dapto pick a part to find what might be close in a au delivered car. The correct dizzy o ring is the same in the '90' sedan swift unfortunately the head was gone so i dont know if the head and cover was the same but the rest of the head does seem to be the 1.6 on the 1.3 block.

Its been a while since being here, finally got around to sourcing some parts (still searching for some) and stripping ready for paint .
I did the rear disc brake conversion and changed the cultus seats for a set of freddo frogs
Intention is to install the gti engine (rebuild while its out) and add other stuff from my gti donor car.
I have some more recent photos that i'll post.
Earlier this year also spent about 3k on sound alone, as you can imagine you need a bit of volume when the roof is down.
About 2 months ago someone around 7am thought it would be good to tear the roof, couldnt get in and so decided to smash the drivers window, damage the head unit and steal my esky, thankfully they didnt open the boot.
Head unit 702a clarion is now working again and new windscreen and drivers glass is waiting to be put in once the painters finished (takes about 3 months to ship glass from the states). Also got a new roof.
For now im keeping the normal gti/cultus front and rear bars due to local driveways.
Also got the lower radiator support replaced with new one and side sills rust repaired.
Took over 50 hrs to strip down the cultus and remove gti engine from donor car. Thankyou God to the person who created snaptight bags.

Glad to have her at the painters, I've sprayed and detailed before but don't feel comfortable doing a 4 layer by myself.

Nice resto.. It's good that it had no rust.. They put salt on the icy roads in Japan and it causes a lot of rust problems especially in older cars. Can hardly wait to see the finished item..Love the color..

had to change the spoiler as the original is made from a foam/boogie board material and would have cracked the paint after a while due to shrinking/swelling, and hard to find a brand new one. luckily out of the whole pick a part yard there was one that didn't have a light in it and sat ok on the boot, its from a pulsar and was only $30, also picked up a full gti kit and other pieces for $150 from a mate. so I've got some spares in case.
Side stripping was removed to allow for side skirts but kept the middle strip on door
as per pics all wires are removed from the cultus, now its looks like time to remove the gti harness.

Ben from B & L has done an awesome job with paint and panel work.
pulling apart the gti suspension for donating to the cultus and found rear koni sports adjustable (need rebuilding) and lovell springs all round, white line rear sway bar.
cleaned up the old genie exhaust system (came with the genie extractors aswell).

If you need glass moulding use the normal GTI/hatch/sedan one, they're all the same size moulding (windscreens themselves on the convertibles are different though due to rearview mirror). For a new windscreen and door glass talk to ralph at http://www.ralphmooreautoglass.com.au/, so far he got me the windscreen from america and drivers door from africa. Waiting for L/H/S glass. you can pick up and pay someone to put in or he can put it in for you.
