Hi SpecialK
I sold the C125 to a fellow racer who at the time needed it more than me. At that point in time the car was not going to run for a fair while.
When I started getting gear together to get the car going again I considered getting another; however, in the time period between the release of the C125 there are so many more options; and imo more displays that provide better bang for buck; I’m not a brand wh**e so wasn’t worried.

The AEM dash has data logging; GPS; lap times and sectors. It looks amazing and is very very user friendly. The Software is extremely easy to use and AEM have gone out of their way to create setup files for all the Motec gear (M84 and PDM15 for me) it is literally plug in; upload and you are good to go.

was waiting on a SPAL pull fan for the rad; turned up today. Luke smashed out a mount.

On the way to kicking her in the guts this week!

Will be a quick stop for a check up on the dyno before planning the upcoming test day at Wakefield.

Yeah I get you 100%, just saw the change and wondered. The AEM is a good display dash is correct. I had a CD5 for a bit at one point until I sold it to go with ECUMaster as they had a lot more devices which I wanted to run, and I can keep all the electronics in my build the same brand. The AEM software was super easy yes I remember.

couple of issues which have been worked through; you get that with full rewires.

Health check all good; bit of track prep to do before its maiden voyage at Wakeifeld on Dec 6th.

Been a while since its been here

Good power and enough pulls to verify the oil drain back design has worked; the triple pass rad has really improved cooling as well. Even as much as having to turn off the dyno fan to get it back up to temp! Generally a big win all around. 31psi of happiness and its loving every second.

I really look forward to actually developing this car now; as it has always been a rush build to meet certain events. Nothing in booked on the calender (although some soft targets to hit) and there is no rush on anything.

Plenty to do to improve the engine package still; as for the suspension well we havent really even started yet. Wakefield on the 6th of December will give the car a base line; and from what ever that is we will see what needs to happen.

No.1 for me is seat time and confidence; so last night i modified the boost map down for the first few sessions on the upcoming test day.

Track day this coming Wednesday.
Cant wait to get some laps under my belt after a long hiatus.

Been a very long lead up to getting SRSGTI back on track but really stoked the result. Its actually weird to be ready for even just a track test days and days before. This is normally a full on hussle to even make the event.

Not expecting much from myself or the car; heaps of new s**t to validate so we are treating Wednesday as a commissioning day. Run the car on low boost for the morning and validate data to real track conditions.

The car has been inundated with support especially from the Veteran community which has been really good for me; i reached out to Young Veterans to see if they wanted a spot on the car to get the word out futher. They are changing veterans life for the better with every event or raffle they do; so i wanted to do something as well.

Added in a manual boost guage; really only to double check/validate whilst testing.
Also mounted the data port for the Dash in the old cigarette lighter location.

The car as a whole; DTM style side mirror from Autosport mounted up a treat!

Shakedown went as expected; ambicious yet rubbish.

The new Rad worked a treat with Temps steady at 84 degrees and dropping once off the loud pedal.

Was an absolute blast having the car back on track and in love with Wakefield as a track.
My first time there; will not be my last this year or next.

Sheared the intermediate shaft; fatigue had a bit part in this but also my first time out in 4 years so no dount was harder on the car then i should have been. Either way this happens and as soon as it let go i knew it wasnt anything serious. Done enough gearboxes; diffs and shafts to know what each one feels like.

Here is the results. yes yes... 6 laps only
Including out and in laps was probably about 15.

Wick was turned right down for testing of the new gear. dash, wiring, rad, oil drain, catch can.
On old tyres, no seat time and a new track.. Shes gonna be a rocket here!

Bring on the next day!

I love the look of this thing, freakin' awesome.

That time is really moving, especially for only a few laps. Bet you had a smile on your face :D
