95 octane and up is what the chip is programmed for as it has timing advancements which require 95 octane

An ebay performance chip can be bought for $12-$15. A pcb socket costs about 50.cents from dick smith. Thats about $15.50 in total for a complete conversion.

May i ask you what is so special about this $100 and $200 job, what are we getting in addition to have this type of value.

Fact that mine are installed, tested, and a quality product all in the one box. Mine are all tested and if i'm not happy i will start from scratch. the EPROMS that are used are not cheap. they are brand new quality eproms. i use gold tipped machined sockets for maximum durability and life. I also give a full lifetime warranty on the ECU's i work on.

I cant speak for the quality of the ebay chips. i dont know what program they run (They probally say GrpA or Rally but that is a term loosely thrown around in the chipping world). but i wouldn't touch one personally.

These chips i use are proven power, they have awesome results and people to back it up.

Where i am yet to hear someone rave over an ebay chip. I doubt these are tested before they are posted. They are probally just a copy of a copy of a chip and someone looking for a quick buck.

I prefer to give people a quality product at a decent price.

I also look over the entire ecu for any dry joints etc and do any preventative maintenance if required.

If people want to take a risk and buy the ebay chips, they are welcome to as i dont want to force people to buy form me, if they are happy with an ebay chip they are welcome to sing it's praises,

I Personally prefer quality and that comes at a price and i'm sure people that have bought from me can confirm i do give them value for money and a quality product

My mate got one of these, against my advice. Put it in himself, he's a qualified sparky, car ran like absolute s**t.

At least you know what you are getting here on Redline.

If anyone is considering doing this it is definately worth it. I have just fitted the chipped ecu i picked up from gtay and will drop the old one back to him tomorrow. Definately can feel the difference and I only have 2inch exhaust and filter. Instructions Gtay me were awesome straight in and straight out. Best $100 bucks i ever spent!!!

Hvent hit the new limiter yet but i know that the old one is long gone with the chipped ecu! Perks up nicely, and revs out so much quicker and faster, hitting the speeds quicker than before. Highly recomended for those who have a bit of a buget and want that extra power.

Extremely Satisfied!

Just put mine in my mk2 today. Was very impressed with the service/delivery time/contact/price and instructions. WELL DONE!
I noticed an increase in acceleration in the midrange as others have said... not huge, but noticeable.
Would love to see before and after on a dyno.

One thing im not a fan of is the 8600rpm limiter. I quite enjoyed hitting the old 7800rpm limiter....8600rpm is too high..i dont have the supporting mods to rev that high... that said, i still hit the new limiter on the road test :) .... had to do it! Probably far better suited to those with upgraded cams.

Excellent service and recommended mod!
Oh by the way, my old ECU is in the mail as of today coming back to you

I'm not sure these chips are suited to building "fastest Swift in the world", so they are probably no use to you!
