After sitting in the warehouse for the last 2 years I got the jasstv GTi back to the track at the Lotus club DTC event at Lakeside
Very hard to scrub in a new set of semi slicks in the wet
A few spins & a hand brake turn
A few more mods to the car with a new Walbro 300 hi flow pump & very flash DMW gold anodised fuel rail The mill finish fuel rail did not like the E85
Went on the Dyno on Friday & on track on the Sunday
So good to be back in the car & that wonderful open throttle body sound
Still not sure how good the new AR1s are until we get a dry event to fully scrub the tyres in

Big thanks to Dave for all the prep work before we hit the dyno

Awesome to see this is back on the track again! I was beginning to worry it would get parted out like so many others! =D>

Yes it is sad to see so many GTis being parted out to get some $ back
I have just bought an original 1996 GTi for parts but cannot bring myself to do it
The inside is immaculate It has the oriniginal air cleaner & parcel shelf

Why do this ? Buy a Honda and be done with it....but the answer is....we don't because there is zero satisfaction in doing things the easy way....keep the gti's running!

Mitch a couple of pool noodles duct taped to the sides of your GTi & you would have had your fishing boat
