Yeah Ringwood hillclimb is incredibly tight and doesnt really give you much to take away from it.
Racing there with our GTi's in the past they struggled to get traction going up around turn 2.

King Edward Park Hillclimb in Newcastle owns Ringwood in Comparison.

Its Good to see some in car footage well done.

Some great in-car footage there!

Did you hit that car ahead of you in the second video? He seemed to get out of the way pretty quick after that  :D

I will thanks. :)
Yeah, poor swift bent all the bars holding the bumper and ripped all those plastic parts holding the headlight(s). Because the assholes put me way back in the starting order, and this guy didn't want to move...well until I helped him.

Hi folks,

Re in-car footage, it seems there are a few options;

1) Go-Pro camera (a waterproof camera with sturdy in-car suction mounting)
There is a new one with a 5Mpix camera and wide angle, cost is approx $350 AUD
http://www.racerecall.com/motorsports_hero_wide.html

Someone recently said that GoPro cams are scratchy quality, but I think based on the YouTube clips & reviews I've seen, that they have stepped up a level with the more recent 5Mpix model.

2) Pay three+ times as much and semi-professional quality video quality bullet cam, and external mic, hard disk video recorder. Lots of options to drool over here ..but expensive.. #-o
http://www.racerecall.com or
http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/motorsport ... a-kits.htm
(and 2nd hand one for $500 here, with no bullet cam http://www.techmasters.com.au/forum/vie ... f=8&t=4303 )

3) Buy a generic suction mounting device which will stick a normal camera to a windscreen or bonnet (but how sturdy are they.. as you watch your favourite digital camera bouncing into the distance in your rear vision mirror! )
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CAR-WINDSHIELD-W ... 240%3A1318

Or this $66 one supposedly used on SpeedWeek and tested at 300kmh! 8)
http://www.racerecall.com/mounts__cases.html
Seller is in Melbourne which gives me a bit more confidence than Chinese sellers on eBay...

Less of an issue if you have a rollcage so you have something sturdy to mount it onto.
See 'Ultraclamp' in the above link.

4) Make your own mounting bracket and use the head of a budget tripod.
Limited mounting options but price is right!!

Anyway for only $66 & free shipping I ended up just now buying the Suction mounting bracket pictured.. Will let you see how it goes soon!!

just buy a L bracket from bunnings and clamp it to the rollcage.
