As the title says, I'm hunting brake options for the Baleno (SY416 1.6)

From what I have researched people have said that you can use Liana brakes, and someone mentioned that 2005-2011 swift brakes will also work however no one has concrete proof or a list of what is exactly required (Calipers, knuckle, hub etc)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Hey mate, Liana brakes are the same as the Baleno. 1.6 for 1.6 and 1.8 for 1.8. I myself put 2005 Liana front Brake callipers and rotors on my Baleno as mine is a 1.6 but could not for the life of me find any Balenos at wreckers. Hope this helps.

Sorry just to clarify, I put 2005 1.8 lt Liana brake callipers and rotors on my 1.6lt Baleno. No need for brake hoses or hubs or anything else. Simple change over.

Thank you so much!

my big fear is that to accomodate the larger rotor (246mm vs 235mm) was a difference in the hub knuckle.

rear brakes seem to be the harder part to source a replacement for as I dont think the liana was released in a 4 wheel disc version here in Oz or if it was it doesnt appear to be common.
