what is the most insane g13a/ba? engine you have seen i ask this as my bro has one runnin on meth,injected,chev valves,ported big time revs to 8000rpm all day timing is set at 35degre and a few other mods that i can remember

i find this really hard to believe and how do you even measure that? there is no 35 degree timing marks on the side of the engine!

Methanol burns cooler and slower than petroleum, so you can push more timing advance before you run into detonation.

Yeah, although how do you know when he's measuring that, it doesnt say static

and its well possible, i know people that run up to around 20degrees on "standard" gti's- not saying that it is good for the engine but anyting is possible

yeah i heard of the same thing in compact speed car, running approx 160hp. Everything in engine was pretty much different. Same crank thats about all that was standard.

I think he is talking timing at RPM not static. Most cars run around 30 deg timing.
Static timing at idle is different.

lol i am tryin to get full specs on engine as it was built down south as for the timing the dizzy is moded and runs 35 under load as it revs to 8 no probs as for the chev parts unsure what chev they came out ofi seen the engine apart and they are huge the standard zorst port is at least 5 mm all the way around bigger then the stock gasket as for pics i have them on my phone just need to find my cable to put them on here but i will put pics on oh the bore is a 1375 and has been resleved


has any 1 got a spare blockas he wants one to build up as a spare

nice pics of the plane motors are they tuned for avgas? well the yourg fella found out tonight the motor needs a bottom end rebuild as it has huge crank pressure build up and startes runnin like s**t till you take the oil cap off and it runs fine so we need a block asap
