Hello, getting my 94 gti dis rebuilt at a local engineering shop.(I don't dare try it) Its been getting oil in the cap and it appears to from the internal bearing..they seem confident its a easy fix for them and was quoted around $200.
Are there any little quirks or if needed parts suppliers that I might be able to inform them come Monday?
cheers:)

Too bad you don't want to do it. I have rebuild kits for $20 USD.

There is a guy on here who rebuilds them and says the seal is a hard to get size. I think he works for himself and is called Dr Suzuki or something like that. He rebuilt one for me and it hasn’t done anything wrong at all, no leaks. I had a quick go at trying to pull one apart but it looks like a small press of some sort is needed. The leaky dizzy cap tends to soften up the small heater hose directly under it causing a blow out so should be fixed. Do a search on dizzy rebuilds and his name might pop up to pm him. n0madic is his name on here.
