Autobarn do a wedge type globe that you can use for the light in the hatch (I've got one spare 'cos they come in a pack of two).

Cheers,

Had a friend of mine tell me to just walk accross the road from my work, and I picked up a replacement bulb! He said I was a nut for making a booking to get them to change my interior light haha true!!

It cost me $2.50 when it dies I'll invest in a fancy one from ebay led sounds good!! as the front light isnt very bright when it comes to light getting into the back seats,

I Had a voice mail message left today, the dealership rung me telling me I need to call the lady at sixstar, I have 3 times now.. and allways runs to her message bank, and NEVER has returned my call..

I'm not going anywhere what they heck is going on..

A friend of mine said to me I despirately need to have my tires rotated this is what they look like.. :!:

Image

Found this on ebay looks good anyone know if I should look for somthing better? that would be mega light!!

Dude, You need to go in there in person and demand some action. Tell them you are not moving until something is done about your problem. Also print out a copy of this thread, all your photo evidence and show it to them and any prospective customers. Also tell them that you are going to stay for the next few days (it wont take that long trust me)and tell/show any prospective customers exactly how this company deals with any problems that arise

This sort of action really works. It has for me on a number of ocasions Don't wait for them, they will give you the run around forever. Good luck!

How many KM's you done Gomo?

My tyres look the same. But its the type of tyre I have - Bridgestone Potenza RE001's. They aren't a square tyre more curved along the edges like yours. Do you remember what they looked like when new and have you checked the others?

I'll have to go check my set in the garage. If it is a curved edge tyre you just gotta make sure you have enough air in as you don’t want extra wear where there’s no tread but other than that if balanced and inflated correctly the wear should develop evenly in the middle I was told you can get 50,000 out of the stock tyres if rotated every 10,000.

Oh and when I got my car I needed a balance and alignment straight away. But it didn't matter as I was changing over to 17"s anyway.

Stay on top of it because they may just be hoping that you'll go away if they don't make contact with you.

Gomo, please give me one good reason why you've not taken this to Consumer Affairs by now?

There's no point in telling us nothing is happening. It won't achieve anything. You need to use your energy to MAKE something happen.

So emo!

jks! ;)

Just give consumer affairs/fair trading a call. You wont know what they can do until you do so. They may have a huge file on the companies in question, and may be able to give you a little extra muscle to sort this stuff out.

Gomo the Emo... lol it fits

seriously though Gomo, do try to give them a bit of "incentive" to get off their lazy ass by threatening to talk to consumer Affairs. You might find your car fixed within the week. Worse case scenerio - Do the paint job yourself, so there is nothing to lose for trying ^^

hey gomo,
sorry to hear about what has happened to your car,the problem is (in defence of suzuki and there paint protection)that paint protection protects paint from uv rays and also protects it from elements of rain etc will also assist in things like bird dropping stains if washed away straight away things like that, paint protection does not and can not with stand the acid from bat droppings bird droppings etc, these will eat through the polish and clear coat very fast,as you have seen,
this problem may not even be covered under your insurance policy,
although a dealership may want to resolve the problem for you as a token of good will,a dealer ship would have someone they do business with that could do you a realy good price on repainting your bonnet,
we do rework for a brand new car dealership and honestly we get cars with factory defects and the dealership fixes them straight away as the customer sees them,
i would advise approaching your insurance company and explain everything,if the insurance company thinks that there is recovery from another party for payment of re working the bonnet they will not charge you an xcess and it will not cost any more on your policy, insurance companies can be very helpfull,
i hope this may help you a little bit,
cheers mr paint and panel team

So did you call Fair Trading/Consumer Affairs?

Seriously stop dicking around with the company, it's going to get you no where. Call up Fair Trading and find out what they can do for you.

Nathan, it's your life and your car, so it's up to you what you do, but you seem even more complacent than I am. And that's saying something! On Wednesday you said you'd call Fair Trading and you then you backed down. Why? Anyone reading this thread can see that the dealer is stringing you along and has no concern for your situation.

You've been given Fair Trading's details. If you don't feel like phoning them, then email them instead.

Word of advise, once they ignore your first call, don't expect them to get back to you with your following calls.

Your being too 'nice', seriously, go there and complain to their faces and demand something to be done. Complain around loads of people, this is bad for business :)

Usually when I have a complaint, I'll take my brother or dad with me, tag team them with complaints its a freaking win for sure that way.

I'm sorry but yes this has got really ridiculous, you come on here complaining about how this company is doing nothing for you. You are doing nothing about it yourself, so at this rate you'll get no where. Trust me, been through this sort of thing a couple of times, and you've got to kick some heads metaphorically speaking to get anywhere.

Hurry up and call Fair Trading and take control of the situation. Otherwise please stop writing up more posts here about how nothing is being done about it.

Good news!

Yesterday a guy in a company shirt came out and looked at the paint on my car he said we would be in touch.. later that afternoon the lady who is the managing consultant rung me personally and we had a lovely chat! she said to me she is very disapointed to see I haven't been helped,

And that I am to ring her personally some time today to arrage somthing if the people don't get back to me today! This is all because she found this thread on this website! how neat is that! haha

Wish me luck all! I have the swift cruise on the 9th comming up! I think if they have my car during that time I'm intittled to a free loaned swift! muahaha! I've told them about the cruise as well :)

Word of mouth is very powerful just like the internet!

Sooo Look it's taken 3 weeks but somthing is finally getting done! :D

Update! Got a call.. They have found a panel beater to repaint the bonnet. It's local I have to visit it with my car on monday and they quote it and I pass that onto my paint protection warrnaty people.

They did tell me it would take a while to go through this but gesh ah well nothing much I can do! I need to take my swift for it's 15k service

It's booked in for the 26th December!! The local service yard is booked up heaps! so right now my cars on 15,249km the guy said it should be fine and I can keep my warranety even if it is over a little bit hope so lol

Lol you serious? Just book it in when its around those service KM's and convenient. This is not rocket science. I'd like to see someone tell me to my face I'm not in warranty. Whats to prove that you didn't do 10,000kms in the last week?

All they want to do is make sure you show up every now and again to buy some Suzuki maintenance parts.

If it sounds jaded its because I am :)

Geez mate looks like you have done a full circle again.

good thing i didnt fall for that paint protection after-sale offer fr the dealer.. it made me guilty not taking care of my car at first.

as others on this fourm suggest, id rather polish my car as often as possible!

Great, call ACA so all the baby boomers of Australia can then see Gomo have a whinge on the telly!

Seriously, if he really wanted this fixed there would be less whinging, and it would have been fixed long ago.

We all should take some advice from Chopper Reid!
