Never the less "I have a 380 during this time"
How small and gutless is the Swift going to feel after driving the 380!
I can see a Swift for sale soon.

If you remember the edition when they featured the 380 for the first time in Motor magazine, they had the 380 doing a massive fwd burnout. So I'm guessing Mitsubishi says its fine treating the car that way!

Had my girlfriend's dad help change my tire this morning :)

Found the back tire completely flat this morning! =o Found this big chuck of wood periced through the tire!! that was slowly letting air out..

Running on the spare tire now looks exactly the same as the other tire as well expect it says max 80km/hr? It has full tread with those little pointy things poping out around the tire so I have to say im the first to drive on this tire wahoo! :)

All good about to ring the place and let them know It probably happened when I picked the car up as I drove it normally with the windows up, and this morning had them down and heard the tire flapping hehe no good!

Ok! Car has been returned! Really needs a big clean for sure! here are the photo's as promised! good job I did have some stonechips on the bonet hardly noticable anyone comming on the swift cruise feel free to ask me they have put a coat of paint over it but you can still see it,

The bat dropping mark is nowhere to be seen yippie!

The flat tire on the 380 they want ME to pay for it... The tire went completely flat the night the car stayed at mine it was a slow leak, Heck when I picked the car up from the place it was filthy the inside was messy crap everywhere, obviously not well maintained.

I had to fill up the water revisors in the car as it ran out of water...

I got the car with a full tank of fuel and returned it with less then 100km worth of travel left, seeing as my $22 a day did include fuel costs, they sounded like they wanted me to fill it up before returning it!

I was up at Redcliffe at 7:30am this morning the traffic was crap! I went out of my way to get the car up there today! I have work at 11am, soon as I bought the car back the lady was helping me and my girlfriend get OUR own belongings out of the 380 and into my swift...

Found it a little bit Rude and privacy invading and still do! as did my girlfriend..

I was a nice guy and cleaned the car completely for them before returning it! and did a full vacum out!

I have been booked in on the 3rd of April to get the paint protection applied on my car again! I'll be there at 9am and have to wait a few hours around while they spray the crap on if it auctually works heh

All in all a HUGE dissapointment.. the loan car cost me $66, and I can only guess they'll ring me and ask for $100 somtime today for a new tire :D

This thread sure is a true example of what can really go wrong! hhaha Glad it's for the public viewing as well! I can safely say I've had 2 dealership managers private message me asking what dealership is dealing with me but I have yet to disclose the name for obvious reasons..

The thread has attracted so much attention that I had one of the main ladies from the paint company call me as she saw this on the net! but as a customer I shouldn't have all this crap now to begin with

So it took 4 months to fix... that is ridiculous.

Don't know how you put up with all that running around, shouldn't let yourself get shoved around like that mate.

If they want to replace the tire tell them to get Fkd. They can get it patched up instead. Think around $30. Even then, after 4 months I'd say you have paid for it with all the screwing around, phone calls etc.

That can be easily repaired. If the tyre doesn't have a bubble anywhere or isn't burst it can be fixed.

Oh my god.

I can't believe it it took almost 5 months for them to fix your car!!!!!!!

I give my dealer such a hard time compared to you!!! I didn't get the paint protection because they wanted $1,000 and it didn't seem to cover anything, guess it was a good decision!!

My car has been sprayed 3 times, the first time was when I picked it up from the dealer and there was a scratch on it. I made them put in writing that they would repair it at no cost to me. I originally demanded a whole new car but settled for this as I didn't want to wait.

It was booked in within 2 weeks to be fixed, and while they we're fixing it (they needed it for a week) I got a free courtesy Swift (it was pink) to drive around, all I had to pay for was the petrol I used.

When I picked it up I made a point of inspecting the whole car in proper lighting before I accepted it (yes my dealer probably hates me!)

The second spray was done after someone keyed both sides of the car when it was parked on the street. I had to pay $450 excess for my insurance to cover it.

Then, about 2 months later it was parked on the street outside work again, and someone reversed into it. How they did this is a mystery to me. The whole back door on the driver's side was pushed in and had to be fixed and re-sprayed, another $450 I had to pay and they didn't leave a note or anything.

I now pay for secure parking...

If I was to buy a new car and had the money, I would have them do a double coat of paint before I picked it up. This is a better alternative to paint protection. If you look at the paintwork on older cars, you'll notice it's much better than what they do now, it just gets a light spray over before they ship them and that's why they scratch back to the metal so easily.

The cheaper option is to invest in some decent hard shell wax, and apply it regularly. ;)

By process of elimination, and the fact Gomo took his car to Redcliffe - the dealer in question is probably Northstar, as they are the only Suzuki dealer on the peninsula.

Cheers,

Jason.

Bloody hell Gomo that tyre is rubbish not much tread on it  is it even legal to have been on that car :?: , would only cost $15 to repair it ( do not pay for another tyre ), Go get your paint protection done say you don't have money for tyre and that it was probably not legal for that tyre to be on the 380 anyway, don't pay these morons any money at all tell them to get @@####$$$% and never go to them again after this, better to travel to better dealer than to put up with these pricks taking advantage of the young

Thanks all for the responses they are taken into account :) I haven't received a phone call yet nor willing to respond to it, the paint protection cannot be applied on the car until a month after I got it resprayed as the paint is curling,

Yep the tire looks pretty worn out, my friend who came with me when I got the 380 told me the tires needed to be pumped up! always good !

Just for the heads up on follow readers, this isn't Zupps

Tell them to get fucked.

Honestly mate, you let this happen to you yourself.

With a new car you NEED to be a prick to get what you want.

I bought a brand new falcon ute, in October 06. I have had nothing but problems since I bought it. After trying with the dealer I bought the car from to fix my issue (nosiy diff) and not getting anywhere I've taken it to another dealer closer to home. The diff has now been replaced 3 times, and is going in again this week to be inspected again.

Ford have a policy by which they will not provide customers with a loan car free of charge. After the second replacement, I demanded that ford give me one, at their cost. It took some arguing, but I got it in the end.

Last week the new diff (2 weeks old, less than 1000k's) s**t itself. I rang ford care the next day, demanded they come pick up my car and fix the diff again, and the other issues (ac working on and off, which was "fixed" 2 weeks ago, and retension the steering rack, which was done 12 months ago). I have told them not to give me my car back until all issues are fixed, or I will be lodging a claim with dept fair trading and demanding a refund of the cost of the car, plus loss of earnings due to lost time with phone calls and days off having to leave the car with them (I run my own business and use my ute for it).

Don't let them get the better of you, you have paid good money that you have worked hard for, only to be screwed around.

Grow some balls and fight back son!

i realy dont understand this thread from a business owners point,
if a customer came to me and wasnt happy i would surely endevour all i could to make this person happy,
as from your point, firstly i feel sorry for you but you have rights and have not once acted on any of them,if you played the whole scene properly you would have contacted the dealer,if you got no joy from them you should have taken it up with suzuki australia,
i have delt with nearly every suzuki dealership in adelaide and suzuki australia and have nothing but praise for them all,
if your dealer isnt doing the right thing suzuki australia will step in,if that fails you have consumer affairs, they give you 21 days to act as a business and raise any defence you may have,if that fails (wich honestly by this point it would have been sorted)but? if all that somehow fails you then have other avenues you can follow eg: your insurance company, small claims courts etc,
suzuki would not like this problem going on and would not want these problems occuring with past customers,
i have followed this thread for sometime and given you advice as many others have and honestly mate all i can say is what chopper woulda said...
