Hi,

I have done some research and came to conclusion that I will need to buy oil squirters.
My H-beam con-rods are bought from eBay from Taiwan which didn't come with hole predrilled.

As power increases, cooling effect from this oil will be important.

I obtained 2 different types of oil squirters from Nissan but they will get in the way of my crankshafts as it is bolted down. Then I cam across this Renault Clio item.

It is 10.1mm diameter and has built in oil pressure valve.

When it is fitted, I will take a photo or 2 then assemble this engine with 76mm Vitara pistons.

Cheers

It is almost made for it!

So, all I need to do now is to drill oil return and knock sensor mounting holes and tap it.

Then I can start to rebuild engine.

Cheers

It looks good and I hope it will work OK.

I hope to find correct oil pipe fitting from TD04L turbo.

Cheers

I got a hold of full block brace from a friend. In order to fit this, I needed to knife edge my crank but I guess it will be a good mod.
This engine has a Vitara oil pump for bigger volume of oil flow to cope with oil squirters and turbo oil feed.

Cheers

Hi,

My crank is knife edged for the bottom brace I got from Craig.
Oil squirters are very small and clears crank without any mod.
I'm waiting for my port and polished head then I can build it up, but it will be long time for me to fit this engine as my mk1 is not ready for the road.
Once on the road, I will drive it around with Garndi chip with bolt on turbo setup for a while to get used to the AWD with bit more power.

Cheers

 ok i made a mistake homie, tell everyone how stupid i am.going with the same renault oil squirters to lube and keep the pistons cool, due to not using forged pistons and using forged conrods with no oil hole . also using the g16 higher volume oil pump. your right mini, the engine block looks like it was made for oil squirters ,right next to the oil galley. might have made provisions for a future factory turbo application .
thanks a lot mini for the idea. ps hope it works [-o<
