Been offered some new 17" wheels with 205/40x17 tyres.
Will they fit the Ignis Sport would you say?
Wondering about clearance only, since the bolt pattern and offset is fine.

Clearance shouldn't be a problem (especially at standard ride height). The SuzukiSport Ignis runs 17's on lowered suspension no sweat.

Worst case scenario you may need to roll gaurds? be sure to chuck up some photos when you get it done :)

This Ignis is rolling on 17's too.

I believe these rims are just 5" wide, with the biggest tyre possible for that size fitted as standard, but the 17s on offer are 6.5" wide. Had a quick look and there appears to be room, as you say.

Just to clarify, the SuzukiSport rims on their Ignis Sport (Swift Sport) are:

"SUZUKISPORTspeedlineTMC 17×7.0J"

From the following page:
http://www.suzukisport.com/news/030613s ... sport.html

The 16's they have are +43 offset, I am pretty sure the 17's would be pretty similar to that.

I don't think you will have any problems.

I have the 16's speedline ones and fit with no problem. the 17's where tried for 10 seconds but on full lock they scuffed the underside so cancelled.

This also means that I have a fresh set of standard 15's unused, untried, untested and available if anyone needs em.

get in touch.

England north west preferably!

Were the 17's speedline too? did you use the offset SuzukiSport recommend? and also what profile rubber did you use? very interested.

Can't even get my hands on Speedline in Australia unless I work to part with massive $$$

What exactly is the ideal offset for 16in rims for the Ignis Sports. I love the 5Zigen FN-01R and its offset is 42 with a PCD of either 100 or 114.3,
Think it'll fit?

Would depend on the wheel width.

The standart offset is +45, so +42 would fill out the guards a bit better, which is my main critisism of the stock alloys.

With regards to my 16's they are the SUZUKI SPORT Speedline TMC 16
16x7.0J +38 as advertised on suzuki sports website. The dealer even sorted them out for me so I didnt have to worry about importing.

The 17" were not suzuki standard and were actually ripped from a hyundai getz - no idea of the size of tyre etc.
