now that ive seen the ratios in the ignis sport gerbox , i can see where its not much different from the swift gti gearset, and should feel about the same as a 1.6 dohc gti(drive all day in fifth), but may still not be the best thing for the drag strip because of the difference in ratio from 1 to 2 shifts. 1st gear should seem to high when you got power(lots of wheelspin)hindering the launch, then when it hooks up second is too low :x no fun. I also wonder if this box will tend to munch 2nd gear because of this problem as the gti did(speed differential betewwn 1st & 2nd makes synchronisation hard for the gear hence the crunching of the gear) :?: :?:

I get that problem... wheelspin right through 1st, then I'm putting when I shift to 2nd. The launch can be tricky to get right. If you don't launch hard enough you'll be waiting until about 3700rpm before the VVT takes over, but if you lauch in the power band you'll throw your traction out the window.

The shift into second isn't too bad if there's no wheelspin. If you try hard enough you can get wheelspin at the start of 2nd gear.

Yes you`re right , Sometimes when you pull up quickly from the 1 gear to the second, in the beginin of the second gear it spin`s. Also it`s very easy to get wheel spin in the first gear..
Also i readed in a german website that they had a modify to the gearbox, they putted the 5 gear of a standard 1.3 litre ignis in the gearbox of ours, so , when they`re driving on a highway it will not ride high in rpm..
if i remember good it was dropping 500 rpm. So when i ride 120 kph at 4000 rpm it was then 3500 rpm at 120 kph..
