hey guys i just got a 90 model barina 2 door with the gti interiour and the chino g13ba motor..i assume its the same floor pan as the chino correct?..
any way..i have 3 jensen 800wat 12inch subs and im curious to know will this be to much bass?..
im going for a custom boot lay out with 2 subs firing to the bak of the car and the other 1 firing to the roof...
would this be ok?..
ive got 2 sets of jensen splits to go in to the doors so vocal shouldent be a problem plus an amp for them as well..
im building on a budget so i dnt have the best gear but this should build a ok loud doofen car yes lol

mate i understand that your building a system on a budget yes it will work and sound ok but 1 decent brand sub a one pair of decent splits up front will blow you system away. its not about how many subs you can fit in you boot its about what your after weather it be look at me ive got three subs and no boot or if you after sound quality.
but if thats all you got to work with id go with 2 subs running 1 amp and your splits running off another amp with 4 gauge amp kit but you might want to invest in at least a bigger battery and if the budget allows a capacitor. thats the way id go anyway

I have to agree. I had a mirage back in the day, with 2 12inch Pioneer subs in a box in the boot, which just squeezed between the wheel wells, and honestly u wouldnt want more bass than that...ur car would just fall apart in my opinion. Stick with 2, coz as they say "Less is more" ;)

I had two 12"s in the boot of my 4dr Barina and I ended up needing to turn the bass right down on the headunit and the amp. I feel one is enough and I can bump up the bass on my headunit if I want more.

Really it depends what you want having the subs firing different ways can sometimes wreck the sound completely.

It does come down to you only get out what you put in and also you get what you pay for.

I've had 1x12 in my swift and it worked just as good as when I had 4x12's due to loading, airspace and everything else that you have to take into account.

The other thing you have to think about is will it work for the music you like or will it wreck it completely.

But plan and plan it well and work it all out right and it should be a decent system on the budget, eyes and ears.

Good luck.

Zylux didn't think this was too many.

So as many as you want or can fit.

Yep agreed. 1 is plenty. My alpine Type R with a 700w mono block really pumps even with sub control on level 4/15.
You have to remember, the inside of a swift is all one compartment so to speak unlike a sedan. where most people keep the sub in the boot. so its quite loud at times haha.

Your choice though mate
