Re: Kizashi a 'headache' for Suzuki

I don't think there was any real chance of the Kizashi coming out turbo, it was just a publicity stunt so Devers could get his name and the Suzuki brand in the headlines during the Sydney Motorshow (and it worked). Having recently been in a Suzuki dealer, when I asked about the Kizashi they couldn't...

Announced this week, Suzuki S-Cross.

Not sure the drop in power will impress too much :?

Sadly it has lost its lines in the concept -> production transition

Re: M18A

Does the liana have a m18 or j18? I have heard it mentioned as having both. You have to remember the ignis sport has a lot of comp compared to the 1800 so the power difference isn't great but starting with a larger motor is better for mods. I have heard the sport m15 and the m18 have large port hea...

Interesting that the clutch part says it is the same for the M15A Swift and the Sport :-k I was under the impression that they were different sizes. Can anyone else confirm? -edit- Just confirmed, Swift Sport is definitely a different part (source http://www.exedy.com.au/clutch-finder): Ignis RG413 ...

Re: Holden Cruze (rebadged Ignis variety) gearbox

It is the diff carrier that has a problem, the carrier drives the rear drive via a splined shaft. There are upgraded carriers available as this is a very common failure(due to the very poor design!!).. This part is not the same on ignis or ignis sport. Are there upgraded carriers from Holden/Suzuki ...

I have spent a lot of time looking for rear discs and have compared them to the Suzuki models I know of with rear discs with no luck... until now.

I suspect the FZ GLX Swift may share the same rear discs as the Ignis Sport... just need to wait for someone to release the measurements for the discs.

I personally wouldn't bother with this conversion, it's a lot of work for a 9kW increase and low end torque the Ignis Sport doesn't really need.

What's the reason you want longer ratios in the Ignis? :?

I'd probably go the M18A as a base for a turbo setup, but for NA.. don't think it's worth it.

I still think the Starlet GT is a good potential candidate... they seem to take a lot of punishment and have good ratios for turbo... also have aftermarket parts available from Japan.
