Re: TRACK DAYS Eastern Creek & Wakefield

On Friday I went to Eastern creek Brabham circuit (Sydney motor sport park) in my VW Golf R32, and did 2:31 as my best laptime (which was 1 sec faster than my friend in a E36 M3 - the 3.2 6 cyl). Main reason is that I had upgraded tyres (Yoko Advan Neova AD08R) & brakes, as his BMW had 55kW more...

Re: TRACK DAYS Eastern Creek & Wakefield

I went to a track day at Eastern Creek on Thursday - half a day driving a 'Radical SR3' (like an Ariel Atom with aero! 0-100kmh in 3secs, thanks to a 1300 Hyabusa engine. 215hp in 570kgs). Not a cheap trackday - $900, but mind-blowingly good. It is deceptively fast - in the right hands just as fast ...

Re: What ever happened to TIMGUYPERSON ??

I bought TimGuyPerson's engine as a nearly finished project, but it turned out the cylinders were oval rather than round probably due to a botched dowel job, and there was a problem with the crank too. So I kept the head and forged pistons/rods for a replacement G13A block from DMWDave, which are no...

I am going to Eastern Creek again in a couple of weeks - does anyone recommend a racing game that would be useful preparation? It needs to have some Aussie tracks such as Eastern Creek. Needs to be fairly realistic. For me, needs to work with a PC & analog steering wheel. Any reccos appreciated..
