Hi All, A 15A outlet is an easy upgrade of an exisiting 10A outlet, its just the faceplate and circuit breaker usually. No new wiring required (usually). Hi,

Please install spare fuse into diagnostic port on fuse box and check for the error code flashes from your check engine light on instrument cluster.

Search on this forum for error code meaning and procedure if I haven't made myself clear enough.

Hi Mate, F6 is a Cultus GTi ECU and therefore should also have the knock sensor circuitry on pin A15 that no others except for Cultus GTi I4 ECU's have. A nice little extra selling point there. :wink: (If mine was a Mk.2 I'd take it in an instant) Free bump and good luck with the sale! Cheers, Drew

Absolutely!

There is a boss on the rear of the engine that can be easily drilled out and tapped (if it hasn't already). Cultus GTi engines came with a knock sensor as standard.

Hi Mate,

I'd guess your battery is past its usable life. Check for +/-13.8 V DC while charging (engine running) to make sure the issue is not alternator-related and then get a new battery installed.
