Wiper fuse blowing on IS

Anyone else had problems with a wiper fuse regularly blowing on an Ignis Sport?

3 times in a couple of months now.. auto-electrician not keen to go chasing an intermittent fault and either am I given it'll be costly. Any wisdom appreciated..

Thanks Dave! I bought one not long after that posting actually, and yeah, it's OK. Not perfect but OK. Certainly made a couple of the nastier dents much less visible, I don't know whether it'd be possible to get the panel super smooth again but it did a pretty good job. Also, do you only get a letter if you are the original owner? Nope, you should get one as the current registered owner - we're the third owner of an IS and we got a letter last week. That said, if you've just only changed ownership I can easily see a letter going to the previous owner and not you.....

Does RG413 mean 3-door, and RG415 mean 5-door? If so all Ignis Sports would be part of the recall yeah?

I'm pretty sure Koni dampers for the Mk1 stopped being made a long time ago I'm afraid..

Do a search for threads by user Sobil, he has done a fair bit of work to Mk1s including suspension for rallying. His kind of setup would be pretty similar to what you're after too.

King Springs here in Australia still list Mk1 springs in their 2014 catalogue (http://www.kingsprings.com/catalogue.htm). Update - replacing oxygen sensor made no difference to running or economy. I know it's not likely, but regarding your overheating are the driving lights always mounted on the front? Could be affecting airflow..

In case anyone's interested, ordered a new O2 sensor on the weekend as it wasn't in stock. Disconnected / made sure I could get out the old one out, no worries.. stuck it back in to stop the racket but didn't reconnect the wiring. And yes, there's definitely no "check engine" light buzzing...

This may not help much, but Mk1 diff ratios seem to be all over the place.. I've owned an 85 Swift, an 88 Barina, an 87 GTi, and a friend had a 87 Barina - all 1.3. The 85 and 88 had identical gearing (3000rpm at 120 in 5th), the Gti was noticeably shorter (just over 4000 at 120), and my friend's 87...

Just to show double-DIN fits fine..

And 6.5" with a large magnet JUST fits once you cut the plastic speaker basket. Stoked that it didn't need door builds.

Baleno GTX - a quick tape measure shows the factory stereo + the clock is very close to the standard 10cm of double-din. The only thing that's spooking me though is that the factory stereo actually takes up more than half that - about 5.5cm - so I'm guessing the factory Suzuki unit is not a standard...
