yea, it seems like the smarter thing to do. so with the 1.6 ecu, does it need to be chipped to run boost? like with the GTi ecu? i had a bit of a look around, but nobody seems to do much modding on the 1.6 (yes i know, its a Gti site) Or is it a case of having the map sensor being able to read boost...

yea i dunno, it is more work to set up a draw through charger, than it is to lay a standard wiring loom into a shell, but what can i say, i like to be different.

I cant understand why you would need 300+ Kw for a street car? The speed limit is 110kph, and there is now legislation inplace that basically says that 'shows of acceleration' and taking off excessivly quick is considered hooning, so you can get your car impounded.
