WTB: Alloy wheels or rims to suit 2005 Swift

I upgraded to 17 inch rims when I first bought my 2005 Suzuki Swift S series and now want to go back to stock size wheels as tyres are less expensive. Anyone have anything suitable for sale or trade??

I'm in Canberra.

Thanks!

ACT Cruise

Hi all,

Anyone interested in an ACT cruise?

Happy to organise if there is interest for a fun day out, to meet other owners and basically enjoy the drive!!

Suggestions welcome - looking for nice twisty roads, lunch stop along the way somewhere.

2005 S series - Timing chain or belt?

Hi all, Long time between posts...! Have finally hit 100,000 in my 2005 S series Swift. Trying to determine whether it has a timing chain or belt? For the purposes of getting the next major service done. Book seems to suggest it has a belt but my mechanic had a look and said no, which I'm hoping is ...

Re: Rough engine idle, misfires

Yeah, first they replaced the spark plugs which didn’t fix it, then they tried the ignition coil which made a difference but it was not 100% fixed. They then replaced some leads, I think they said there were 2 or 4 leads, and they then thought it was fixed but I could still notice a very slight shud...

Re: Rough engine idle, misfires

I go for the cheapest fuel I can get...

In the end changing the ignition coil and some of the leads (connecting to it??) fixed the problem. Also got the rear wheel bearings done and four new tyres recently... ouch! $229 each for Bridgestone Potenza RE002's...

Wow 10 years that's pretty cool, I haven't been on the forums in a few years but I used to go to a lot of the cruises in Brisbane.

Will check out the state of origin cruise, but i'm in ACT so not sure if it will be a bit far. Might have one here as well, if there's enough interest. :)

Re: Rough engine idle, misfires

Thanks, I think I will try that. Mechanic says it needs new spark plugs and ignition lead set. New spark plugs are on now ($90 later...). It is better than it was but still not 100% They need to order in the right ignition lead which is going to cost me another $180 or so. Guess it's just general we...

ACT Cruise in 2012

Hi y'all

Would anyone be interested if I organised a cruise in the new year, somewhere in ACT/NSW?

Open to suggestions for locations, maybe somewhere we can stop and have lunch along the way. Nice windy roads preferred!

All are welcome to come along and hopefully we will have a fun day!

Re: Rough engine idle, misfires

I'm having the exact same problem with my 2005 swift at the moment, and have just reached 66,000k's. I'm getting a mechanic to look at it today but so far no fault codes are showing up on the computer. Hoping it's spark plugs or something like that. Have been thinking it could be to do with the fuel...

I think you'll find that the few girls on here who are actually into cars don't comment because going though all of the sh i t on here to find some useful information is a waste of time.

Also, the new swift vs old swift got a bit boring after a while.

The manual for the le says the airbags probably won't deploy if you hit a power pole head on, although the le only has the standard 2 airbags. I haven't checked my manual yet but imagine it would say the same thing as the other airbags are for different impact zones. I wouldn't be buying the airbags...
