HI Mate,

I have what is pictured left, nothing mechanical though. FYI Freight to anywhere will be costly for the bigger items like bumpers, but happy to help get parts wherever they can be used.

Nice work mate,

unfortunately 2nd gear in a GTi box is always a weak link and often the most abused gear. If you can get the parts it might be worth giving the full box a rebuild or sourcing a used one (there are still some kicking around the US).

GL with the build I'll be watching keenly :D

Not sure you can still but either of these, I have plenty of the tops stashed away for a rainy day and a couple of parcel shelves I have picked up from wrecks etc. But never seen them new. Hopefully someone local to you have some spare.

Still here, still trying to finish my mk3. But as others have said the cars are getting rarer and less people are using forums and going on facebook (which I do use, but I point people here all the time)

Hopefully more people are starting to stash or rebuild their cars and keep them on the road.

They were around a while back but much harder to find now. Have a quick search here as we used to use Honda ones - I just forget which one - and they might still be available for you. See how you go.

Welcome Adam, while I forget the GTi rotor size off the top of my head (and I can't be bothered searching either) but I do know that the 07 Swift Caliper is a straight up bolt on for the stock GTi setup and doesn't (IMHO) need the master upgraded. These are still around though the shipping is the hardest part as there is not a cheap way to send it. Here in Aus we get reamed for freight, especially on large items as they are charged on cubic weight not actual weight.

It wasn't too bad a job, took maybe 45 minutes including find all the tools I needed and sorting out a power source to check the light (as my battery died long ago). Cheers man, the V8 ute is a promo car for one of the TCM Teams here so the opportunity to play around with it I won't pass up.

As for the build I'll stick with it, just frustrating not having the $ to do anything.

Keen to see yours up and running too, can't beat a mk1 back on the road anywhere :)
