Re: burnouts in new car...

hey i just found out from a mate that when i lent my mate my brand new swift.. he did a few burnouts which involved dumping the clutch.. how bad is this for the engine and tyre wear? (car done 1000 km.) He's an apprentice mechanic and tried telling me that as long as they aren't serious burnouts an...

Just bear in mind that you will kill your warranty if you install extractors though. You probably wont notice a huge difference in power either, just a lighter wallet, and no warranty coverage. ;)

Reasonable sized dual tips will fit. I've seen a couple of Swifts with this done, and it looked quite nice.

Someone mentioned the kerb weight being the "wet" weight, that is; all fluids including petrol. But answer me this - the kerb weight is 1030, the tare mass (which is supposed to be the car with no fluids) is 1007kg - is someone, like Suzuki, trying to convince me that 43 litres of petrol,...

Well, yesterday the wife and I picked up a our new car, a 2009 Lancer ES. as much as we loved the Swift it didn't have the room for us and our little fella, and all the stuff we need to cart around for him. The Lancer has plenty of room, which is great, but we will still miss the little Swift. It's ...

What are you after from your audio system? If you are just after an integrated iPod solution you can get a Clarion iPod interface that easily hooks up to your stock head unit, and allows the controls on the steering wheel and everything else work nicely with your iPod. I also have one up for sale in...

Are you noticing any noises when you brake? You can take your wheels off and check to see if the pads have much wear left. I think however it would be best if you left it to the professionals. ;)

I actually buckled a wheel hitting a bad pothole. I had been running the tyre pressure on my 17s at 34-35psi. There wont be a cheap way of modding it to fit. The Standard 1.5lt Swift has 4x100 stud pattern. The Swift Sport has 5x114.3 (I think) stud pattern. Unless the person offering the wheels at a good price is also offering the brakes with them I don't think it will be cheap to mod to fit. ;)
