Down here in the scenic isle there is a company called NPD (Nelson Petrol Distributers) who have a number of stations in and around Chrischurch. At most of their stations 100 octane is available.....

Have read that some jam cultus were higher compression.
They achieved a higher compression by using domed pistons

Pretty sure that Mk 1 gbox parts are not interchangeable with Mk ⅔

Recently done mine and did it a different way.
I rotated the motor and cut through the existing belt longitudinally until I could pull half off and leave half on retaining the original position.
Then put the new belt on the outside half. Cut off the remnants of the original belt, job done.

Yes you can fit a knock sensor.
Cultus engines have one but the boss is there on all blocks which you will need to drill and tap without getting nasty bits of ally swarf on the inside

That switch was also used on some sedans.... I remember seeing one on a AWD sedan ages ago.
