Cam cover interchangable Mk1/2/3

Hey boys, been a while!

I am about to pick up a MK1 Gti and was wondering if my Mk2/3 cam cover will fit?

I have one sitting out the side from when I had my old Gti and I want to paint/ polish it up!

I know i can just use the mk1 cover but, it would be easier if i had a few days to do it!
