Theres no problem machining the back of the main caps flat,I used to machine them flat then fit a 12.5mm tool steel strap across the back of each cap for the higher hp builds

The Ignis has a four cyl k12 as std,so yes there would be no foreseeable reason why the k14 wouldn't fit, as always with the modern technology the hardest part of a k14 turbo swap would be sorting out the wireing and Im not really a fan of the suzuki turbo/ manifold being integrated into the head.I ...

Steve I had moulds taken off the evo swift bonnet and tailgate by a guy out at warwick and had single skin fibreglass products produced out of the moulds, it wasnt too expensive,I can get his contact details if you like.

To be honest any mk1 master cyl you buy will be 30+ years old ,you would be better to get your existing cyl resleeved with a stainless steel sleeve and rebuild kit, contact bhss in capalaba,qld I know they offer this service, but otherbrake and clutch shops in your area may resleeve too.

Depends where the engine/ecu came from but the japanese spec cars have a speed limiter at 180 klm hr, if yours is one of these cars and the speed sensor is showing a fault then perhaps the speed limiter is kicking in, an easy test would be to disconect the speedo cable and go for a drive and see if ...

I have a 4.235 final drive for 4wd box, if you also changed to the m16 swift sport gearset it would make for much nicer(closer and shorter) ratios.I also have several m16 sport boxes which I could strip gearsets out of if your interested, pm me for details.

toe out on the rear will make it turn in sharper, 1 or 2mm out per side should be enough,if you go too far it will make the rear of car step out as you turn in, which for circuit racing is fine/quick if you have quick reflexes.

5 bar is 75psi, the std fuel pressure for a gti is 40psi, so if your running std ecu with a turbo chip then your overfueling, I would set the fuel pressure to 3bar(45psi) as a starting point.

You can still run a bov but run it before the afm(assuming you run the afm in its normal location as suggested),I found running it near the exit of the intercooler as far away from the maf as possible worked well

Adjust the clutch cable till you have approx 5mm freeplay at the clutch arm on the box and see how it is then, maybe you damaged the clutch when you overheated it before.
