Re: Apex Springs (UK)

I've got the SuzukiSport springs and shocks fitted to mine. It seems to sit flatter than stock (the inner rear wheel doesn't lift as much). They're pretty sensible for street use. I'm not sure if you can still buy them though.

Ignition Barrel Recall

Hi everyone,

It seems that Suzuki have sent some recall notices to Ignis Sport owners in Europe. Apparently the lubricant in the ignition barrel can carbonise and possible catch fire.

Has anyone in Aus heard of such a recall?

Oil always goes cheapest after new year. I just got Castrol Edge Sport 5W30 for $49..50 af supercheap. Last year it was going for $40. It definitely goes better than the 15w40 that was in it, particularly at higher revs.

Both locks look like they've been taken to with a screwdriver as an attempt at breaking in. The metal around the locks looks a bit bent/warped and the barrels felt like they weren't properly attached to the door. Of course, I spent about 5 seconds looking at it. I suspect the locks are simply damaged.

It's pretty easy to check if it's the cable too. There's a single finger-tight nut holding it onto the gearbox. Remove it, and see how freely it moves.

Apparently a carbon bonnet would rip a pedestrian to shreds on impact, so they're illegal. Where metal would bend, carbon shatters. You might as well put spikes on your bumper.

I'm pretty sure fibreglass (and probably carbon fibre) is fine for bumpers and skirts (don't take my word for it).
